Warranty Policy

Warranty Policy

At Remedial Recliners, we stand behind the quality of our products. This Warranty Policy outlines your rights and our obligations in relation to product faults, defects, and missing parts.

Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law

All products sold by Remedial Recliners come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. This Warranty Policy does not limit any rights or remedies you may have under Australian Consumer Law.

12-Month Warranty

In addition to your statutory rights, Remedial Recliners offers a 12-month warranty on products found to be faulty or damaged, except where:

  • The product listing expressly states a different warranty period;
  • The item is an accessory or bonus gift (as noted in the product listing); or
  • The fault or damage is due to:
    • Normal wear and tear;
    • Improper assembly or modification;
    • Abnormal use or abuse;
    • Improper or lack of maintenance (e.g. fabric, leather, or timber care); or
    • Damage to external packaging only.

How We Resolve Warranty Claims

Each warranty claim is assessed on a case-by-case basis. Depending on the nature of the fault, we may:

  • Send missing or replacement parts;
  • Suggest a method of self-repair (where appropriate);
  • Replace the product (subject to availability);
  • Offer an alternative product; or
  • Provide a partial or full refund.

How to Make a Warranty Claim

To submit a warranty claim:

  1. Log in to your Remedial Recliners account, go to Orders, and select Request Support for the relevant order.
  2. Include the following in your message:
    • Your order number;
    • The quantity of each product or part that is missing, faulty, or damaged; and
    • Clear photos or videos showing the fault, damage, or missing part. Thumbnail-quality images are not sufficient for assessment.
  3. Do not dispose of the product before your claim is finalised — we may require a physical inspection. We reserve the right, subject to Australian Consumer Law, to decline a claim where goods have been disposed of prematurely.

Returns for Warranty Claims

Do not return products unless instructed to do so. If a return is required, we will provide a prepaid return label. Return postage costs incurred without our authorisation will not be refunded.

Missing Parts

Once a missing parts claim is validated, we will dispatch the part as soon as practicable, typically within two working days. If the part is unavailable within a reasonable timeframe, we will offer an alternative remedy in line with Australian Consumer Law.

Delivery Delays

Any delivery delay should be reported to us within 10 working days from the date of dispatch. We will investigate with our courier partner, which may take up to two working days. If no resolution is received within that time, we will offer an appropriate remedy in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
